Dr. Dillion Miller, M.D.
Dr. Dillon Miller, a family physician, and his wife, Jocelyn, are settling into their new home in Aspermont. After serving as a physician for Uvalde Memorial Hospital and Our Health Community Health Clinic, both in Uvalde, Dr. Miller will be joining forces with the staff of Stonewall Memorial Hospital and Clinic beginning May 3, 2010.
The Miller’s are no strangers to rural Texas living. Both he and his wife grew up in the small Texas Panhandle community of Spearman. “Coming from Spearman, we understand and embrace small town life. It is a great place to practice medicine and raise a family. My wife and I are both excited about our 4-year old, Zoe, and new baby, Keats, becoming Aspermont Hornets.”
Dr. Miller completed his residency at The University of Alabama at Tuscaloosa where he served as Chief Resident at DCH, a 658-bed regional hospital serving West Alabama. After graduating Magna Cum Laude with a B.A. in Psychology from Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Dr. Miller received his Doctor of Medicine degree from The University of Texas Medical School at Houston. While attending medical school in Dr. Miller served as a volunteer at the Hurricane Katrina Refugee Camp in 2005. Dr. Miller is board certified in Family Medicine, certified in Pediatric Advanced Life Support, Cardiac Advanced Life Support, and Advanced Trauma Life Support. His medical interests within the scope of family medicine include pediatrics, sports medicine and dermatology. In his free time he enjoys spending time with his family, hiking, backpacking, snow skiing, watching and playing almost any sport, and supporting the Red Raiders. The Miller’s are Methodist.
Dr. Miller has seen first-hand the challenge rural areas face in finding and maintaining physicians. “I understand the importance of stability within the medical community and look forward to a long lasting relationship with Aspermont and greater Stonewall County.”
